I have no experience in apartment leasing but I want the job. What should I say in my cover letter?
I've been trying to get a job as an apartment leasing consultant but everyone wants experience. I think I would be great at leasing but I can't seem to get my foot in the door. Any suggestions?

- How do you know you want the job if you don't know anything about it?
- "Bright person with enthusiastic attitude who could pick up any job skills..." might get your foot in the door.
- Why is it that you think you'd be great at the job? Make a detailed and specific list, pick 3, and put it in your cover letter. (Ex.: I know I would excel at this job because I am detail-oriented, I communicate well, and people find me trustworthy.) Also emphasize jobs that may seem unrelated but have taught you a skill that you will use at this job. (Ex.: While working as a waiter, I learned to listen closely as well as pick up on body language so I could determine exactly what the customer wanted. I also learned to manage my time well by having to juggle many responsibilities at once.)
