Medicine or finance??!!!!?

Hi i go to a very competetive school in nyc. However Im thinking about whether to become a doctor or a big finance person(who earns a lot). Im very good at math and I love it. But my parents are convincing me that becoming a doctor is the best way to remain stable and have a $$$ life. But then again.. i dont want to trash math after high school, because I would become a bio major(i want to be a science major in undergrad pre med not anything else). I have been thinking about finance but I worry about the risks of engaging in risky finance jobs, i also heard u have to start at the bottom. I could become a doctor... but im thinking about the potential benefits of getting a finance degree and going to a reallly good finance program. What are some EXCELLENT finance programs in NYC or anywhere in usa. Should I do finance or not because its not worth it and too long. Please help me!! Remember I love math and dont want to do anything strictly math oriented(EX math teacher etc). THANKS!!!

  1. I would love to be in medicine. Be a doctor just for my sake please!!
  2. No worries :) Just a suggestion. Why dont you go ahead and major in biology for your undergrad and then go to med school and have a joint post grad. You can do an MD/MBA program so you will have the best of both worlds I guess.
