Real Estate?

Does anyone think it's a good time to invest in real estate, I just purchased some shares in a REIT, hoping real estate is nearing a bottom. They say to buy when eveyone else is selling.

1. Real Estate has problems and the credit crisis is expected to get worse, with a potential loss of $600 billion. Problems are still being exposed. If the US enters a recession, things will get even worse. An example of the problem is Thornburg Mortgage - TMA. Selling for $26 in 07/07 and $4 now. It will take several years to clean up this mess. I'd wait 2-3 years, to see who survives. Citigroup may go under. Good luck.
